We have had communication problems at QIKI since Day 152 (June 1) when NWTel mistakenly assigned our phone number to another person in the hamlet. We are now sharing the same phone line and, consequently, our modem downloads are being disrupted every evening. NWTel unsuccessfully attempted to fix the problem over a week ago and we are now waiting for them to try again. I will advise once it is finally resolved and the backlog of data has been retrieved and posted to the IGS data archives.
The Ashtech Micro-Z receiver has been been replaced with another of the same model after the old one had been experiencing tracking problems since 2014-05-08 (Day 128).
An updated site log has been uploaded to the IGS. The first partial daily RINEX file for Day 219 will be posted to the IGS data archives shortly.
RINEX files for Day 133 for QIKI were inadvertently posted to the IGS data archives last night. The Ashtech Micro-Z still experiencing tracking problems and the data should not be used. An inspection of the antenna and cable by our local contact did not reveal any problems. We will investigate further and advise.
The Ashtech Micro-Z has been experiencing tracking problems since Day 128 (May 8) at about 10:00 UT. No further data will be posted to the IGS archives until the problem is resolved. I suspect either a loose or corroded antenna-cable connection or perhaps a damaged antenna or antenna cable. I will advise when we expect data to be flowing again.
Data was lost from Day 306/15:41Z until Day 311/16:24Z due to a dead UPS battery. The receiver is temporarily running off a smaller UPS. There may be another short outage when the battery is replaced in the next week or two. The partial daily RINEX files for Days 306 and 311 have been posted to the IGS archives.
