"The bench mark is a disk set flush in a 1 m x 2 m (4 ft x 6 ft) concrete slab surrounding a storm drain manhole, located north of the Scripps pier, atop the dirt bank above the beach, 41 m (134 ft) north of the NW corner of the Grounds Department Garage, 11 m (36 ft) west of the SW corner of a four-store office building, 7 m (24 ft) SE of the SE corner of a large concrete storm drain out fall on the beach, and 0.52 m (1.7 ft) west of the center of the manhole."
